My Start

My passion for web design started while being in college in 2002 I admired how the web industry is booming and I believed that this is a good opportunity to solve wide range problems, I started learning web design and I had few clients as a freelancer then I started my first business (Tasameem) in 2004.

My Journey

My career journey starts from the year 2004, I started as the founder of Tasameem and now I am a Lead UX/UI Designer in Dar Al Riyadh Group. Below you can read more about my story:

2014 - 2020

Responsible for collecting, researching, investigating, and evaluating user requirements to prepare the User experience strategy, UX deliverables, and user interfaces for the client and development team. I worked on large scale projects such as the Plans Approval System for the kingdom, and the Fault Reporting System which has been sold to 3 main municipalities in KSA.
My main responsibilities were:

  • Conduct tests for user experience and user interaction.
  • Plan and implement new designs.
  • Optimize existing user interface designs.

  • Communicate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives.
  • Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions.

I worked on redesigning (aljazera.net) website to increase the user retention by 8.43% and decrease the bounce rate to 38% - 52%. My main responsibilities were:

  • Helping team members in solving user experience and interface problems.

I started this business in Amman as a dropshipping e-commerce website selling fashion jewelry, after few years me and my wife moved the business to UK and expand it to sell high Italian fashion brands. In 2018 we sold the business. My main responsibilities were:

  • Conduct an effective user behavior analytics.
  • Montering A/B testing.
  • Manage all search engine optimization, marketing activities, improving user experience, increasing website traffic and sales, and developing brand loyalty.
  • Execute ADS campaigns on search engines, content marketing on other websites and research and implement the latest digital marketing strategies using social media.
  • Managing site development and updates for the e-commerce side of the business, working with co-workers to collect necessary content to use for each product or service offering, and ensuring that the brand message and goals align with the rest of the company.
  • Track all website marketing efforts, analyze data, and use my findings to improve our strategies.

I helped to change our working process to increase the production speed by developing a code snippets warehouse which can help team members to access and re-use JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML codes. To increase our department value by finishing full small websites and web-applications I introduced DotNetNuk (CMS) and taught it to the team. My main responsibilities were:

  • Slicing PSD design using Photoshop.
  • Develop the sliced images to web pages using XHTML, HTML, CSS and JQuery.
  • Convert the HTML to DNN (dotnetnuke) skin and containers.
  • Customising DNN modules to meet customer needs.
  • Developing full websites and web-application using DNN.
  • Installing DNN projects on TFS (Team Foundation Server).
  • Installing Database on Server.
  • Assigning tasks to my team members and manage them.
  • Develop designed master pages & themes on MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server).
  • Defining the required features that fulfill our clients' needs.
  • Publishing the product online.
  • Helping clients to define the sutabile user experience for their product.

As a founder and CEO, I was responsible mainly for the hiring, defining the company (short and long term) strategies, evaluating the work, and convincing clients to work with us. It was an incredible 4 years, I learned many things about people, business, and marketing. My other reponsibilites were:
